Before You Pray, Have You Done Your Part?

Tuesday, October 25th, 2011

Please pray for (me or fill in the appropriate name) for such and such a condition.”

I am hearing these prayer requests more and more as time goes on. I don’t object to people realizing that God holds their well-being in his hands. But I have to ask, “Have you done your part in the process of healing?” In most cases you have had a hand in the cause, why throw all the work of recovery onto God.

What do you mean I had a hand in the cause of my cancer, my heart condition, my high blood pressure, etc.?

Was there a time when you didn’t have this ailment? What did you provide your cells with before the onset of said condition? Did you avoid consuming refined sugars, refined flours, and other substances that robbed you of your metabolic reserves? Did you avoid exposure to man made toxins, physical, mental, and spiritual? These were your responsibility.

Well, I’ve gone to the doctor and I’m taking the medications he prescribed. What else should I be doing?

In spite of the miracles of modern medicine, health is the response of your cells, your organs, your various systems to the effects of full spectrum nutrition from food. Drugs can never be the foundation of health any more than pulling on strings makes a puppet come to life. There might be a certain resemblance, but some vital element will be lacking. If it is health you are after, drugs won’t reach the goal. They might play a role, but it will be food that wins the prize or casts you down in defeat.

Now that you are sick, have you sought out those foods, like premium AFA algae, that supply the nutrients your cells need, your systems need, your entire body needs in order to achieve optimum functionality? Have you thrown out those “foods” that hinder optimum function? This is the way God set up health. This is the order he established.

Of course you don’t want to hear this when you are sick or are deeply concerned for a friend. “Never mind the cause, never mind my future behavior, I just want to be cured, now, of this malady so I can get on with my life. I don’t want to change.” Though perhaps not said in so many words, this is the message of our impatience with examining the roots of the disorder.

In spite of our reluctance to deal with causes, there is a set procedure for healing, no matter how it comes about. First comes turning away from the cause or source of the distress, next is turning to the right ordering and calling your body back into the right order, then comes healing and recovery. Such was the way in my own case.

How Do I Know Which Diet is Right For Me?

There is a plethora of information available about dieting. There are diets designed to address almost every problem except the one, overarching problem that has created the need for diets. Any diet that doesn’t address the nutritional deficit in our food supply may sell dieting books, but it won’t restore your body to a peak level of health.

At age 45, my body was falling to pieces like the Fuddles in L. Frank Baum’s Emerald City of Oz. You may ask what diet did I follow to regain health? How did I know what was the right food choices to make?

My approach was to incorporate the best food on the planet, premium AFA algae, and then let my body tell me what other things to eat and not eat.

Take as an example, lacto-fermented vegetables. Shortly after starting to consume premium AFA algae, we acquired Sally Fallon’s Nourishing Traditions. When I ran across her entries on lacto-fermentation, I knew I was on to something good; even before our first taste of the resulting vegetables, I knew.

Sometimes the choice may not be so clear from the beginning. However, if you are supplying your body with the nutrients it needs to function properly and if your one desire is to know life, a short trial may be all you need to determine the appropriateness of some food or substance. A properly functioning body is like a glass of clear water. Drop in a rock and the water remains clear. Drop in a lump of dirt and you can instantly tell the water is getting cloudy and dirty. Try the same procedure on a glass of muddy water and the effects are indistinguishable. With an improperly functioning body, I can’t determine what is making me muddy.

Human's Perfect Food

What happens when you eat the perfect food? Before answering this, lets explore food and its role in life.

Role of Food in Life

When God made insects, He had contrived the food for many birds. Insects proved so good at this role that they were/are the perfect food for the busy parents as well as providing the energy needed to grow baby birds from hatchling to fledgling in a few weeks.

I have spent many hours watching parent birds carry insects to feed their hungry babies and have always marveled at the food value packed into a small creature like an insect. Yet I still am not tempted to join the birds.

Where Did Human Food Come From?

When God unveiled humans, they, unlike birds, wouldn’t eat insects. Instead, God had to revert to something much older, a life form that came at the beginning of life on Earth, as the model for food for humans. Lets look at some of the aspects of this model.

Human breast milk has an amino acid profile nearly identical to AFA algae, a blue-green, colonial bacteria. All the amino acids needed by humans, whether ones we can synthesize or those we can’t are borrowed from AFA. AFA has a net protein utilization index of 75%, which means you easily assimilate 75% of the protein. Compare that to an 18% net protein utilization index for red meat.

AFA supplies a properly balanced array of fatty acids including the right proportion of Omega 3 and Omega 6 polyunsaturated fatty acids. The right balance of fatty acids is critical for the development of and the function of such organs as the brain, for systems like the circulatory system, and for maintaining cellular flexibility.

We talk a lot about vitamins, but do we really understand what they do? Vitamins are the key to unlock and enable enzymes to do the work of the cell that makes your life possible.

AFA contains a full complement of the vitamins we need to function as a human. They come in a form that your body can recognize, get at, and assimilate because they are part of a food. Because they are already part of enzyme systems they are readily available to you. This is why laboratory formulations of vitamins and minerals don’t get used by your body. They are not part of a natural package because they weren’t packaged in nature.

Biologically available minerals also come as part of enzyme systems. We are not designed to feed on raw elements of the earth. That is why you are part of a food chain. Some other organism picks up the minerals or the elements and incorporates them into enzyme systems, combining them with other minerals in combinations that make it possible for us to assimilate and incorporate into our own enzyme systems. These then are used to form neurotransmitters, to create strong bones, to regulate blood sugar levels, and any other function of the body.

Because AFA carries a complete package of the nutrients needed by the human body, and because we can so easily access those nutrients, our bodies respond to it differently than to other foods. I became more alive. I began to eliminate toxins that had been stored in my cells. I became more flexible. My immune system got stronger. I began to see how certain “foods” were affecting me.

Is AFA Our Perfect Food?

Premium AFA algae from Simplexity Health gets my vote for the perfect food for humans. How do you vote? This isn’t a secret ballot, you know. You proclaim your vote every day by the choices you make.

Is It Magic?

Thursday, October 6th, 2011

When sick, we no longer send for a witch doctor to wear a mask and shake rattles to drive off the disease. No, our magic today consists in swallowing brightly colored objects called “meds.” No doubt our magic is greater than the witch doctor’s rattles. But have we gained understanding of what keeps our bodies in balance? We would like to think, “Yes.”

Yet, if we have advanced in understanding, why the alarming increase in diabetes, in childhood obesity, in all manner of degenerative conditions striking at younger and younger age? Why the huge sales in refined sugar, artificial sweeteners, man-altered fats, and chemical preservatives?

It is easy to look for a scapegoat. In that respect, we stand shoulder to shoulder with the rattle shakers of the past. Lets not blame the experts. Their magic is well documented to perform as predicted. The problem lies within us. When we threw out the witch doctor, replacing his magic with the magic of brightly colored meds, we ourselves did not gain more understanding how the body works. Our attitude, “Now we have stronger and better magic,” tempts us to feel that we have license for greater abuse. We think our meds, brightly colored or white coated, will take care of any problems we create.
